Dr. Gavin Richards got his start in the healing profession when he was a teenager on Long Island, NY. He began as an E.M.T., and after a short time realized he had a passion for health and wellness rather than crisis care. While completing his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta, he had the opportunity to intern in a chiropractic office and discovered that chiropractic was his calling. When he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Gavin enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing softball and golf, and being outdoors.
A Chiropractic Education
While studying for his doctorate at Life University, Dr. Gavin participated in many extracurricular clubs and activities, attended numerous seminars, and spent many hours in the lab, which has given him insight into a wide array of chiropractic techniques. After graduation, Dr. Gavin completed 120 hours of post-doctorate work to become certified in Applied Kinesiology, as well as continuing education in nutrition counseling and a variety of other techniques and specialties. During his first four years of practice, he worked side by side and was trained in sports chiropractic by practitioners on the PGA tour. He is certified in Reiki and combines meridian therapy into his holistic approach to healing. His specialties include sports chiropractic, physiotherapy, nutrition, family care and holistic healing.
A Comprehensive Approach
As a board certified chiropractor serving the John’s Creek area for the last 10 years, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients in the community, from professional athletes to expectant mothers. He treats all of his patients like they were his own family and has a personable and professional approach to healthcare. His philosophy is holistic based and treats the person, not just the symptom.
